Baby Blanket Sewing Project

This past week I took a detour from working on the nursery and made a baby blanket for a church friend's shower. She's having a boy named Hunter, and her colors are blue and brown. So I found myself at Joann Fabrics (yet again!) and picked out two polka dot cotton fabrics, brown thread, and brown bias tape. Her baby is due in May, so the fabric is light and breathable for the summer months. The front has the blue background with white polka dots, and the reverse side is the inverse pattern. I didn't have a pattern to follow, so I sort of made it up as I went; but I was pleased with the final product. I love making these personalized gifts for friends.
