With the arrival of this long-awaited brisk air, fall decorating in our house has commenced. 'Tis the season to hang the fall leaves garland on the mantle, light the autumn smelling candles, and sprinkle pumpkins throughout the house.
Yesterday, I spied the little girl discovering one of the pumpkins as a new 'toy'. She analyzed it quite thoroughly and then promptly decided to try and take a bite from it. That's when mommy intervened and explained that these pumpkins, although real, were not for eating but for decorating. Oh, the joys of discovery!
And the joy this weather and fall season bring to our home! It definitely puts a spring in my step. Enjoy, and happy fall to all!

Both of my boys love playing with pumpkins! Either it is a universal fascination or they take after me...I love pumpkins!!!
