Where's Winter?

We experienced a very a-typical January in north Texas this year. Somehow winter forgot about us. We had few cold days but didn't have to deal with any "ice events" or long periods of cold weather (just watch it hit in February!). Rather, it was warmer than normal...quite a bit warmer...can you say 70 degrees?! This allowed us to play outside quite a bit, which was great for a normally "indoor month." Although my allergies may be complaining in a few months when the counts are high due to the lack of freezes, this weather has been glorious. If this is considered "winter," I'll take it!

Below are some photos of our play time outdoors this January. You'll notice two recurring themes:
1. One of Emily's favorite toys is her yellow watering can. The two are inseparable.
2. The girl that used to despise sunglasses is now glued to them. She wears them with great pride.

At least the little girl has been able to play outside! Looks like she's had a fun January!
